Dive Conditions: Extreme thermoclines in Panama and Malpelo alike: 0-10 meters depth: 27-28 degrees, 20-30 meters visibility, 10-30 meters depth: 18 – 21 degrees, 10-15 meters visibility,below 30 meters: less than 18 degrees and more than 40 meters visibility.Sometimes strong currents
Weather: Panama: mostly calm and sunny – Malpelo: first fresh winds, rainshowers and dark, later calm and sunny
Crossings: Moderate crossing to Malpelo, flat calm on the way back, always motoring
Highlights: Panama: many close encounters with big schools of Fish, Mobulas and White Tip Reef Sharks. Malpelo: great numbers of Hammerhead sharks on nearly every dive. Some very close encounters. One hour Baitball ! with many Yellowfin Thunas, Galapagos- and Silky Sharks
