March 31 – April 11 2006

Dive Conditions: Surface temperature 23 degrees, first good visibility, later reduced. Below 25 meters always cold and clear water. Not much current. Clear and warm water off Panama
Weather: Mostly sunny and not much wind
Crossings: Calm journey to Malpelo, there off 12 hours under sail, even calmer on the way back but always under engine
Highlights: Great numbers of hammerhead sharks on nearly every dive. Some very close encounters. 30 Eagle rays are dancing around 50 hammerheads
