International Flights

Please contact your travel agent for the best connection to the Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport (PTY).

KLM now flies direct from Amsterdam to Panama City.

Condor offers competitive prices from many European Airports via Santo Domingo to Panama City.

Both flights avoid the United States and it’s immigration procedures.

We strongly recommend to arrive in Panama City at least one day before the scheduled Inula departure.

Your international return flight should be at least one day after the scheduled Inula arrival.

Domestic Flights from Panama City Albrook  to David

Air Panama (http://www.flyairpanama.com/) offers various flights per day between Panama City and David. We would be happy to assist with bookings. Air Panama currently includes 35 pounds of luggage, $1 USD per extra pound. Domestic airlines depart from Panama City’s Albrook/Marcos A. Gelabert Airport (PAC). Inula is based only 5 minutes by car from the David Enrique Malek Airport (DAV).

Minibus Panama – David

A nine-seater minibus with driver is available for the transfer from Panama City to David and back. Drive time is about 6 hours, including a stop half-way in Santiago. The price per leg is 500 USD. There is also a 20-seater Coaster available. The price per leg is 700 USD

 

Bus Panama – David

Many buses from various companies travel every day from the Panama City Terminal de Autobuses Albrook to David and back. Terminales Panama – David S.A. currently operates the best maintained buses. Driving time is normally 7 hours including a stop half-way in Santiago. Express Buses depart at night time at 22:00, 23:00 and 00:00 hours and take about 6 hours. The price per ticket is 18.15 USD. Upfront reservations are not accepted. Warm clothes are recommended.

Transfer in David

Participants will be picked up from their David hotel or from the David airport, by minibus or car.

Please let us know in time where in David we can find you for the transfer to Inula.

Transfer Package

We offer Panama City Tocumen international Airport – Inula – Tocumen transfer packages that include: Pick up from the Tocumen Airport, transfer to a hotel in Panama City, 1 night in the hotel, next morning pick up from the hotel and transfer to the Panama City’s Albrook airport, flight to David, pick up from the David Airport and transfer to Inula. The return takes place in the same way: Pick up from Inula and transfer to the David Airport, flight to the Panama City Albrook Airport, pick up from Albrook and transfer to the hotel in Panama City, next day pick up from the Panama City hotel and transfer to the Tocumen Airport.

The price for above transfer package with accommodation in the hotel Euro Hotel (www.eurohotelpanama.com), or a hotel with a similar standard is currently  880 USD for two persons sharing a double hotel room or  552 USD per person with single accommodation.

Boarding Inula

Boarding Inula normally takes place in Puerto Pedregal near the city of David in the Republic of Panama around 12:00 noon. Depending on the tides in the morning of the first day, boarding may needs to take place earlier than normal.

Disembarking normally takes place in Puerto Pedregal on the last day after breakfast. Again depending on the tides, disembarking may needs to take place later than normal. Journeys including Cocos end in the Port of Golfito/Costa Rica.

Passport and Visa

Every visitor needs a passport that is valid for at least 6 months and an return ticket when arriving in Panama or Costa Rica.

Members of most European countries need only to show their passports on arrival.

Sometimes visitors have to prove sufficient financial means, such as $ 500 USD in cash or a credit card. Members of several countries may need multiple entry visas. Please contact the nearest embassy or Panamanian/Costa Rican consulate for current entry requirements.

Departure Tax

There is a $ 20 USD departure tax on international flights when leaving Panama

and a $ 26 USD departures tax when leaving Costa Rica.
